Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field acceptable.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in business, sales or marketing.
- Knowledge of colleges and universities and the admissions process a plus.
- Strong written and verbal skills, along with strong relationship building a must.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM database application strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage pipeline and forecasting sales.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform outbound tele-prospecting and deal development, including setting up appointments, doing demonstrations on the phone, and closing initial deals with new prospects for CollegeWeekLive.
- Follow up on light qualified leads generated by out-bound e-mail campaigns.
- Research and outbound cold calling on accounts.
- Participation in trade shows and other events.
- This role will include using SalesForce to document contacts and great communication via both email and telephone.

PlatformQ, producer of online events, is revolutionizing medical education by producing LIVE online congresses for health professionals, including CardioCareLive, IDCareLive, and Oncology Care Live. These events offer Continuing Medical Education in a convenient and engaging online format, making it time efficient and cost-effective for healthcare professionals to stay current with the latest clinical findings and treatments. We deliver all the benefits of a physical conference, with live streaming studio based presentations, panel discussions, and real-time Q&A from renowned leaders in medicine. PlatformQ produces these events in partnership with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Northwestern, the Massachusetts Medical Society, Publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine and other leading medical institutions and associations. PlatformQ seeks to add a full time Interactive Marketing Manager, to assist in driving health professionals to our events. This person will report to the Chief Operating Officer within a fast-growing startup environment. The ideal candidate must have deep experience in several (though not all) of the following areas of interactive marketing: advanced email marketing, online advertising and ad networks, marketing via social media, web site analytics, SEO/SEM, and video syndication. In addition, the individual must have superior analytical skills and must be a team player, energetic, and able to juggle a variety of time-sensitive projects.
Responsibilities:
- Drive audience acquisition and attendees to the company’s events and programs, with clear goals relating to numbers of registrants, numbers of attendees, and acquisition cost per attendee.
- Oversee email marketing implementation, delivery, reporting and analysis. These efforts will incorporate advanced targeting, multiple creatives and A/B testing, and managing variety of email newsletters to unique audiences.
- Provide advice and execution on a variety of online marketing initiatives, email, social media, online advertising, affiliate marketing, online PR, video syndication, and paid lead generation programs.
- Oversee and recommend strategies relating to search engine marketing (pay per click, paid inclusion, inbound links).
- Manage an affiliate marketing program for a website in the healthcare industry.
- Monitor industry changes and translate those into actionable marketing recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience planning and executing interactive marketing programs.
- Deep strategic and execution experience in 2 or more of the following: email marketing, social media, online partnerships, online advertising, video syndication, SEO/SEM.
- HTML website and email design skills. CSS and JavaScript knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Deep familiarity with Google Analytics.
- Advanced quantitative and database skills (including excel skills highly preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to see how details fit into the overall picture.

CollegeWeekLive seeks to add a full time Interactive Marketing Manager to our team. This person will report to the Chief Marketing Officer within a fast-growing startup environment. Responsibilities:
- Drive audience acquisition and attendees to CollegeWeekLive, with clear goals relating to numbers of registrants and numbers of attendees.
- Drive attendees from current CollegeWeekLive registrant database through the use of email and text marketing. This includes the development of segmentation strategies, marketing assets, testing strategies and campaign analysis.
- Drive audience acquisition from participating colleges through the development of targeted marketing campaigns, including developing emails, landing pages and best practice marketing services.
- Analyze and recommend website changes based on campaign performance and channel requirements.
- Perform data analysis to find trends and make recommendations.
- Monitor industry changes and translate those into actionable marketing recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Previous email database marketing experience including developing segmentation and testing strategies that yield measurable performance improvements.
- Previous experience managing online partner marketing programs is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze and optimize campaign performance.

The company’s current online event platform offers audiences live, video-based interaction with content providers and peers. It also provides leading edge tools for marketers, to help them attain their branding, lead generation and sales goals.
The successful candidates will play an integral role in shaping the next generation of the company’s virtual event experience – by building a range of platform features and modules. The position requires highly motivated individuals who possess a solid, baseline familiarity with technologies at the OS, development, web services, and database level. The candidates should have a strong interest in online media, interactive marketing, and next generation web technologies. Expertise in online video and HTML5 are highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build, launch and complete product and feature enhancements to the platform – providing advice, oversight, and development direction.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting component technologies that are appropriate to incorporate into the PlatformQ virtual events platform.
- Oversee performance and QA testing on the product platform, across all events.
- Create technical requirements based on business and product needs.
- Collaborate with the company’s web design agencies – to create and upgrade the company’s web site, as well as virtual event-specific web sites.
- When appropriate, serve as the company’s technical liaison with technology partners – overseeing integration, service relationships, and monitoring product improvements.
Skill Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience developing Web 2.0 online media sites -- specifically those that include online video, webinars, podcasts or other online rich media.
- A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with various priorities.
- Proven individual contributor and collaborative team player -- must have the ability to work effectively in a "roll up your sleeves" start-up culture.
- Ability to articulate technology needs in clear, business-centric terms.
- A genuine interest in creating great content and virtual events to foster global learning and social responsibility.
Technical Requirements:
- Development Platforms: familiarity with one or more of the following: .NET (C/C++), Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, Javascript, etc.)
- Solid understanding and proficiency with third party APIs and WebServices: SOAP, XML/JSON, WSDL
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with databases: MS SQL Server, or other SQL experience such as mongoDB, Postgress
- 2+ years experience in front-end web dev’t technologies: PHP, RUBY, Cold Fusion, HTML5, and cross browser compliance most critical. HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript/Jquery, AJAX, Python, Flash also important.
- Experience with WOWZA media server a plus
- Open source: Wowza, Drupal, Swish, and other experience helpful
